What kind of pond construction work do you specialize in?
We offer a wide range of services to meet the needs of any clients. First, we come out to your home to walk around your property and take notes on what you are envisioning for your new pond. Next, we head back to our workshop where the design process begins. From there, it's all about building!
We dig out the area for your basin or waterfall, build an elevated platform (if needed), pour concrete footings and walls, erect pillar supports (or install boulders) that will hold up your edge pieces and liner panels. Depending on whether waterfalls are desired in addition to basins; we'll plan accordingly during the time when we’re installing either the pond liner, or the rocks and boulders. We can also install pre-cast ponds for those who don't want to deal with any of this!
The whole process usually takes about a week - we rush if needed! Then it's just waiting for water and plants (and fish!) to arrive in order to complete your backyard oasis.
What other services do you offer?
We offer a full range of pond maintenance and care. We service all types of ponds, such as traditional-style (like large basins with rocks surrounding them), waterfalls, pre-cast concrete, koi ponds... Our list goes on! The most important thing about maintaining your new pond is making sure it has the appropriate pump and filtration system. We can equip you with a pond that is healthy for your fish, as well as stylish! Our ponds come complete with UV filters to prevent algae from growing inside of them, an important aspect of any water garden.
Are there different types/sizes of ponds? How much area do they require?
We can build anything from a small, compact pond for your tabletop to larger-sized ponds that you might want to use as an area for relaxation. These usually take up about 100 sq ft of space, which means they need at least 400 gallons (or more) in order to fill it up with water! What is the average cost for your services?
Our prices are determined by the factors mentioned above, including square footage of space needed and design elements that will be incorporated into the pond. On average though, our clients spend between $12–30k during their project with us! What is your availability? We're here to help you whenever it's convenient for you - morning, noon or night.
Our team is available for installation and construction during the weekdays (Monday through Friday), but we are also here to service your pond on weekends! Just give us a call whenever you need us.
What kind of fish do you recommend?
We love koi - they're beautiful creatures that may grow up to be as large as 12 inches! They also make the best pond companions because they help keep your water clean and clear. If you don't like koi or can’t accommodate them, we always recommend goldfish - one of my favorite types of fish to raise ever since I was a kid!
What is important in order for me to maintain my pond?
By maintaining your new backyard oasis, you'll be able to enjoy it year-round. While the initial installation is important (for example, if you don't have a liner in place yet), it's just as vital that we service and clean out your water garden on an ongoing basis! The main thing our customers love about our service is that we put their needs first - you can tell us exactly what your goals are for the pond, and then our team gets to work.
